Events in Downtown Hopewell
From seasonal festivals to weekly gatherings, our events bring people together and breathe life into downtown — come see what’s happening next.
Why We Celebrate Downtown
We host events to bring people together — to build connection, support our small businesses, and create moments of joy in the heart of Hopewell. Whether it’s a block party, holiday market, or community concert, each event is designed to highlight what makes our downtown special. These gatherings strengthen local pride, attract new visitors, and help our business district thrive.
Farmers Market
During market season, Library Street comes alive with fresh produce, local food, live music, and friendly faces. The Downtown Hopewell Farmers Market is more than a place to shop — it’s where the community gathers to enjoy good food, great company, and the spirit of Hopewell.
Kayak Right from Downtown

The Beacon Theater
The Beacon Theatre is a cornerstone of Downtown Hopewell — both in its historic presence and its continued role as a hub for entertainment and community life. Originally built in 1928 and beautifully restored, the Beacon hosts a wide range of performances, from nationally touring musicians and comedians to local productions and family-friendly shows. With a packed calendar year-round, it brings energy and foot traffic to the heart of downtown, drawing visitors from across the region.
In addition to live events, the Beacon also offers rental spaces for private functions, corporate gatherings, and celebrations of all kinds. Its unique charm, central location, and modern amenities make it a go-to venue for both public and private events in Hopewell. As an anchor of the arts and downtown economy, the Beacon continues to play a vital role in the city’s growth and cultural vibrancy.
